HOW DOES IT WORK?
During your treatment, a laser beam will pass through the skin to an individual hair follicle. The intense heat of the laser then damages the hair follicle. After multiple sessions, the hair ceases from growing all together. The number of treatments varies, depending on your hair color and density.

IS IT PERMANENT?
Although laser hair removal effectively slows hair growth, it does not always guarantee permanent hair removal. It will take several laser hair removal treatments to provide an extended hair-free period, with periodic maintenance treatments needed on an annual basis.  

WHAT BODY PARTS CAN RECEIVE IT?
We can eliminate unwanted hair in nearly any area. Common treatment locations include legs, under arms, upper lip, chin, cheeks, back and the bikini line.

AM I A CANDIDATE FOR IT?
The best results are seen on people who have hair that is significantly darker than the skin, due to the laser needing a dark target to focus on. The contrast of the hair being darker than the skin ensures that the laser will target the hair, and not the skin. Those with blonde, grey or red hair are not candidates for laser hair removal.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT DURING AND AFTER MY TREATMENT?
Treatment times vary, depending on the area being treated. Most treatments can be performed during your lunch break. There is usually no downtime or recovery period needed after the treatment. Upon completion, you may notice some redness and inflammation on the treatment site, which should dissipate within a few hours. We recommend the use of a mineral-based sunscreen as much as possible to protect the treated area. Your skin may be more sensitive post-procedure and more prone to sunburn. The results from a laser hair removal treatment is immediate, as the laser destroys the hair follicle, which causes the hair to fall out naturally. It will take a couple weeks for your body to express the terminated hair. Do not use force (such as tweezing) to remove it.
