FAQS

IS THE TREATMENT PAINFUL?
Not at all, thanks to a numbing agent in the peel called phenol.  You will feel a mild stinging or tingling sensation when the peel is first applied, but it will quickly subside after 30-60 seconds as the phenol does its job to numb your skin.

WHAT MAKES THIS PEEL SO SPECIAL?
The Perfect Peel is the only peel on the market that includes glutathione, which is a rockstar anti-oxidant.  It penetrates deep into the skin to fight oxidant damage and helps to correct premature wrinkling and hyperpigmentation. 

HOW EXTREME IS THE PEELING PROCESS?
After the peel has been applied, your skin will appear slightly pink.  You will be given a post-procedure kit that includes products and instructions on how to take care of your skin at home. The peeling process begins about 48 hours later.  Peeling will begin around the nose and mouth and will then extend to the cheeks and forehead.  The neck will not peel as dramatically as the face because there will be less peel solution applied to the neck.  The peeling process only lasts for a few days.  Some patients experience a “2nd peeling” after about a week.

ARE THERE ANY RISKS?
While complications from this peel are extremely rare, there is always a chance of an adverse reaction with any chemical peel.  In order to avoid any serious side effects such as hyperpigmentation, hypopigmentation, rash, or scarring, it is essential that you follow the aftercare instructions.  

HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE NEEDED?
For the most optimal results, especially for those with excess pigment or acne, we recommend a series of 3, 3 months in a row.  However, you will still have great results with just 1.
