ThermoClear is this nifty little device that removes unwanted skin imperfections in mere seconds.  It utilizes low and high radio frequency waves (through a tiny probe) to treat sun spots, age spots, cholesterol deposits, sebaceous hyperplasia, keratosis, fibromas, skin tags, cherry angiomas and facial spider veins (telangiectasia). 

It is a fraction of the cost of a laser or IPL treatment and much safer because the probe only comes in contact with the skin’s top layer (the epidermis). The lower level (the dermis) remains untouched and unaffected.  With a quick ThermoClear treatment, you can skip the dermatologists office (and price tag) and have immediate results.

FAQS

IS THE TREATMENT PAINFUL?

We use a medical grade numbing agent that is the strongest numbing cream available (30% benzocaine, 10% lidocaine, 6% tetracaine).  Some people don’t feel anything at all.  Other people have reported that it feels like a mild bee sting.

 
ARE THERE ANY RISKS?

ThermoClear is non-invasive, but like with any cosmetic procedure, there are always risks of side effects.  You must be a proper candidate for this procedure (we will help you decide if you are), but more importantly, in order to avoid any serious side effects such as hyperpigmentation, hypopigmentation and scarring, it is essential that patients follow the aftercare instructions.  

 
WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM DURING THE HEALING PHASE?

Immediately after the treatment, some irritation, redness, and crusts may form on the treated imperfections.  They will resolve in 3 days - 2 weeks on the face and sometimes longer on the body.  Do not remove the crusts by force.  Treat them as you would any scab and let them shed naturally.  Mandy will give you a silicone gel to apply to the treated areas 2x per day until the crusts have shed.  Typically 1 - 4 weeks post treatment, blood vessels will completely disappear.  The treated vessel/lesion may appear darker for about a week, which is normal.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE NEEDED?

Treated skin tags, sebaceous hyperplasia, milia, keratosis, and cholesterol deposits usually resolve in a few days and often require only 1 treatment, though sometimes a follow up treatment is needed.  Treated blood vessels (cherry angiomas and telangiectasia) require 1-2 treatments.  Sun spots and fibromas often require multiple treatments.  Keep in mind that sin spots will never disappear for good, not matter what medical aesthetics device you treat them with.  You have to “manage” sunspots for life.

CAN ALL SKIN TYPES BE TREATED?

Yes!  There are several machines on the market that perform the same services as ThermoClear, but ThermoClear is the only one that can treat all skin types due to it having hi and low radio frequency settings.

WHEN CAN I RESUME MY NORMAL MAKEUP & SKINCARE ROUTINE?

As soon as the scabs have naturally fallen off, you can resume your normal skin routine, taking extra care to be gentle to the treated areas, as it’s new skin.
